A 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound “near his mouth” in Deltona on Thursday night, June 5, and was transported to a hospital as a trauma alert, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Around 6:46 p.m., deputies responded to the parking lot at 2820 Howland Blvd. and found the man was alert and talking at the scene.
Detectives are investigating the shooting. The Sheriff’s Office released no other details.
