Authorities have extradited a man accused of killing his wife and abandoning her body in a vehicle at the Lake Worth Beach Tri-Rail Station to Palm Beach County from El Salvador, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jose Castellon Jimenez, 43, is facing charges in connection to the slaying of 32-year-old Eullaia Castellon. Deputies found her decomposed body on the morning of Oct. 22, 2023.
Authorities in El Salvador took Castellon Jimenez into custody on April 25, 2024, and deputies booked him into the Palm Beach County Jail on May 13
Multiple published reports identified him as Castellon’s husband. Sheriff’s investigators allege that he killed his wife and then fled to the Central American nation 1,000 miles away.
On Oct. 22, 2023, PBSO’s Special Investigations Division began an investigation into a reported missing woman.
During the investigation, detectives suspected foul play and contacted the sheriff’s office’s Violent Crimes Division. Further investigation led detectives to the Tri-Rail station and to Castellon’s body.
A sheriff’s statement did not specify the manner in which she was killed.
