Luxury Nautilus 220 condo complex holds ribbon cutting in Lake Park

Luxury is rising on the Lake Park waterfront. The swank condo complex Nautilus 220, with units that begin at $1.4 million is already 90% sold, but on Wednesday, March 25, Forest Development held a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The complex is the first of two projects it plans for Lake Park and nearby Riviera Beach.

Nautilus 220 is a 1.15 million square foot, twin 24-story complex and, according to Forest, the largest of its type in Palm Beach County, housing residences and retail, office space and restaurants.

“This marks more than a grand opening but the beginning of a new chapter for Lake Park, and the neighboring North Palm Beach area,” said Peter Baytarian, founder and managing partner of Forest Development.

The list of Nautilus’ amenities is encyclopedic. They include: panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean, a putting green, a rooftop pool, a gym, a yoga studio, a podcasting studio, numerous outdoor grilling areas, outdoor seating areas with fire pits, a theater, a bowling alley, two on-site restaurants, a games suite with areas for poker and billiards, a teen gaming room, a children’s playroom, conference rooms and areas for arts and crafts.

All of that swank isn’t cheap. Condos range from $1.4 million to $4.6 million. Even at that price, Baytarian said about 90% of the 330 units have already been sold.

A detailed look at Nautilus 220 and Oculina

A 24-story, twin towers condo complex off Broadway in Lake Park, Nautilus 220 was built by Forest Development, one of the three teams vying to redevelop Riviera Beach’s marina.

The condos have 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling, hurricane-impact windows and sliding glass doors and porcelain tile flooring. The buildings have 24-hour security and concierge service.

As massive as Nautilus is, Baytarian said Forest Development is already working on its “big brother,” the Oculina mixed-use project further south off Broadway in Riviera Beach on the site of the old Winn-Dixie.

That 25-story, $500 million project would include 399 residential units, 9,680 square feet of retail space, 17,120 square feet of restaurant space and 11,000 square feet of office space.

Ground has not been broken yet on the project, but Baytarian said Forest is already discussing the project with potential condo buyers.
