After more than two weeks of practicing against teammates, Miami Dolphins players got reps against the Chicago Bears on Friday in a joint practice.
“Joint practices are fantastic for a multitude of reasons,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said earlier this week. “First and foremost, it’s the best opportunity to give guys a chance to make the team. We’re very much focused on on the team and competing within it, but you go to a joint practice and you get to take all the tools that you’ve been refining and you get to try to do responsibilities much further beyond result-based, but executing techniques and fundamentals. It’s invaluable.”
The Dolphins and Bears met for just one practice together in Illinois ahead of a preseason debut for both teams on Sunday night at Soldier Field. Here are the highlights from Friday:
