Live from Miami Dolphins training camp with fans watching

MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins are holding their first practice of 2026 with fans in attendance Sunday, Day 4 of training camp.

A solid weekend crowd cheered as players made their way outside to the two practice fields after stretching indoors.

“Let’s go, Dolphins!” fans chanted.

Unlike last year, players aren’t firing up the crowd with brief comments on a field mic. Coach Jeff Hafley said he instead hopes players get the fans going by making plays.

Dolphins defense does push ups after giving up deep passes

A.J. Henning finished the workout by dashing by Miles Battle to haul in a bomb from Cam Miller. Fans cheered. All in all, it was a good day for QBs throwing deep, not so much for the secondary as a whole. In fact, the entire defense did pushups post-practice.

The Dolphins installed two video screens in front of the stands to explain the purpose of each of the drills players are going through on the field. Even better fringe benefit are the huge ceiling fans over the stands to stir the air, although on this day, cloud cover kept the conditions tolerable by our August standards.

Pads go on at practice on Monday

The practice for Monday, Aug. 3, will be the first in pads this year. Coach Jeff Hafley said it will give him a better read on the run game.

There was a special teams drill early in the workout. Malik Washington was returning a kick when he hit a cluster of players with a thud. But he bounced off and was fine.
