The intersection of Fred George Road and Connector Drive is closed as the Leon County Sheriff’s Office conducts an investigation after receiving a call about a “drive-by shooting.”
LCSO spokesperson Javonni Hampton said deputies responded to reports of “shots fired” in the area, and “at this time there are no injuries and it remains an active investigation.”
The city’s online crime map that tracks police calls added more detail and recorded the incident as a “drive-by shooting.” The call came in at about 11:50 a.m.
No suspects have been apprehended, and there’s no threat to the public because “it’s a contained situation,” Hampton said.
