TJ White is one of the top linebackers in the country and he is ready to announce his commitment. The FSU Seminoles are one of four programs battling to land the Jackson, Mississippi, product.
This is a big recruitment for the Seminoles, who just missed out on another one of their top linebacker targets is five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin, who committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. They will have some tough competition as the Auburn Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, and Mississippi State Bulldogs would also love to land White.
FSU linebackers coach John Papuchis has already landed three-star products Karon Maycock and Noah LaVallee, but they need to add more star power to the group. White could do just that and is coming off an excellent junior season for Jackson Academy. He finished with 102 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, and four pass breakups, per MaxPreps.

White is scheduled to announce his commitment at 2 p.m. ET with a ceremony. It will be streamed live on Rivals’ YouTube channel.

The Seminoles extended White a scholarship offer back on Dec. 18, 2024, before hosting him on his first visit to Tallassee for their Junior Day Event on Jan. 25, 2025. He returned for his official visit on June 6 and has spoken highly of FSU throughout his recruitment.

My Pick: Tennessee
While White has spoken highly of FSU, he has spoken even better about the Tennessee Volunteers, and they appear to have all of the momentum ahead of his commitment. The Seminoles have pulled off some shockers on the recruiting trail this summer, and they will need to do so once again on Tuesday.
