Several Jacksonville Jaguars players have received contract extensions this offseason. One would think that wide receiver Parker Washington is next up.
However, while Washington is aware of his situation, his focus remains on football.
“That’s not my focus,” Washington said. ” I mean, yes, it’s there and it’s a conversation, but my focus is just coming out here and I need to make plays for Trevor. So, that’s my mindset and that’s how I’m going to attack it. I’m not going to step on my agent’s toes. They can have those conversations. I’m just gonna come out here and do my job.”
As the 2025 season progressed, Washington emerged as a go-to target for Lawrence. Including the postseason, Washington eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark in three of the Jaguars’ final four games.
In all four contests, he was targeted by Trevor Lawrence at least nine times. Washington is versatile, able to run a variety of routes, and he adds a YAC element to the offense.
Ravens’ wide receiver Zay Flowers recently signed a four-year, $140 million deal.
“I’d be excited for guys,” Washington said, “and like I said, the receiver market is a little crazy and you see guys getting their opportunities and getting paid. I mean, that’s cool, but like I said, for me, I just want to go out here and be my best self and just attack it, you know?”
The 2026 season is the final year of Washington’s rookie deal.
