Jaguars make roster move along offensive line early in training camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made an addition along the offensive line.

The team announced on Wednesday that it’s signed free agent center Sam Mustipher.

The addition of Mustipher bolsters the Jaguars’ center depth after Trystan Colon was placed on the reserve/retired list recently.

What to know about Sam Mustipher

Mustipher, 29, is an experienced player. After going undrafted in 2019 out of Notre Dame, he’s carved out a seven-year NFL career, playing over 3,000 snaps on offense, most of which came between 2020 and 2022, when he started 40 games.

He has spent the last three seasons with Baltimore, the LA Chargers, and Denver, playing 329 snaps on offense, while contributing on special teams. Mustipher does have some brief guard experience.

Can Sam Mustipher make a roster push?

Mustipher could be a candidate for the practice squad, but he’ll have a tough time making the 53-man roster. Leading the way is Robert Hainsey, with Jonah Monheim the backup.
