ST. LUCIE COUNTY − The body of a man recovered Nov. 4 from the Taylor Creek Spillway whose death is being investigated as a homicide was identified as Jy’Heem Ross, 22, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 10.
The body of Ross, of Fort Pierce, was recovered after investigators about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4 went to the spillway in the 1800 block of North U.S. 1.
Officials report Ross last had been seen about 2:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 2000 block of St. Lucie Boulevard.
Sheriff’s officials are investigating his death as a homicide and report the investigation is ongoing.
