When Trevor Lawrence signed his five-year, $275 million contract extension in 2024, it tied him with Joe Burrow as the highest-paid player in NFL history.
Heading into 2026, only Patrick Mahomes (eight years, $504.75 million) and Josh Allen (six years, $330 million) have surpassed Lawrence’s total contract.
Meanwhile, only Mahomes ($64 million) and Dak Prescott ($60 million) have overtaken Lawrence in annual salary. Allen and Jordan Love have deals that equal Lawrence and Burrow’s $55 million annually.
The top 12 largest overall contracts currently in the NFL belong to quarterbacks.
Myles Garrett’s five-year, $208.2 million is 13th-largest.
When it comes to annual salary, the top 13 spots go to quarterbacks with Houston Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr.’s three-year, $150 million contract making him the highest-paid non-quarterback annually at $50 million.
With the NFL being a salary cap sport, there’s generally not a lot of room to sign other players to big contracts when so much goes to the quarterback.
However, plenty of players still get their bag. In the case of the Jaguars, the next two highest-paid players are on the defense.

1. Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback
Contract: Five years, $275 million ($55 million average annual value, signed June 14, 2024)
Drafted: First overall by Jaguars in 2021
Career: Lawrence has played five years in the NFL, collecting 17,822 passing yards and 98 touchdowns. Additionally, he’s rushed for 1,442 yards and 23 touchdowns. Lawrence is second in franchise history in passing yards behind Mark Brunell. Lawrence is coming off a career best 38-touchdown season (29 passing, 9 rushing) that saw him finish fifth in MVP voting.
2. Josh Hines-Allen, Defensive End
Contract: Five years, $141.25 million ($28.25M average annual value, signed April 10, 2024)
Drafted: Seventh overall pick by Jaguars in 2019
Career: Hines-Allen is the franchise leader with 61 sacks during his seven-year career. He’s had eight sacks in each of the past two seasons, with a career-high 17 1/2 sacks in 2023. He is a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
3. Travon Walker, Defensive End
Contract: Four years, $110 million ($27.5 million average annual value, signed April 3, 2026)
Drafted: First overall by Jaguars in 2022
Career: Walker dealt with injuries in 2025, limiting him to just 3 1/2 sacks. However, in 2024 he had a career-best 10 1/2, with 10 in 2023. He has 27 1/2 sacks in four NFL years.
4. Jakobi Meyers, Wide Receiver
Contract: Three years, $60 million ($20 million average annual value, signed Dec. 19, 2025)
Drafted: Undrafted in 2019
Career: Meyers came to the Jaguars via trade from Las Vegas after seven games with the Raiders in 2025. He had 483 yards receiving and three touchdowns in nine games with the Jaguars. For his career, Meyers has 5,427 yards receiving with 23 touchdowns. Meyers signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2019, staying in New England for four years before playing the next two-plus seasons for the Raiders.
5. Cole Van Lanen, Guard (RT)
Contract: Three years, $51 million ($17 million average annual value, signed Jan. 3, 2026)
Drafted: Sixth round, 214th overall pick by Packers in 2021
Career: Following his rookie season in Green Bay, Van Lanen was traded to the Jaguars in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick on Aug. 24, 2022. He’s played 50 games for the Jaguars, starting 13. Van Lanen has been flexed during his time in Jacksonville, playing both guard and tackle.
