The No. 9-seeded Florida State Seminoles softball team will start its run in the NCAA SoftballTournament on Friday against the Stetson Hatters in the first game of the Tallahassee Regional at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Florida.

FSU (49-8) is looking to make its 13th Women’s College World Series, something several experts are expecting them to do. They are coming into the postseason hot, winning their last six games and the ACC Softball Tournament. They have lost just three months since the start of April and have won their last 22 home games.

The Seminoles are scoring 7.4 runs per game and hitting .352 as a team with a 1.021 OPS. The pitching staff has a 2.81 ERA on 293 hits and 158 walks in 361.1 innings with 305 strikeouts.

Stetson (36-20) won the ASUN Championship to earn their spot in the NCAA Tournament and is on a three-game winning streak. They are 0-6 against top 25 teams this year and 0-11 in games against Power Four opponents. FSU has won 17 of its 18 games against Stetson, with its only loss coming in 1987.
