FSU Seminoles standing out to wide receiver recruit from Georgia

The Florida State Seminoles loaded up at wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting cycle, signing six recruits. While FSU offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. is still looking for his first commitment in the 2027 cycle, they are in a great place with several top targets.

One of those players is Keyon Standifer, a three-star prospect from Covington, Georgia. He was previously committed to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, but reopened his recruitment in December, and the Seminoles have seemingly become one of the top schools in his recruitment.

He recently spoke with Chad Simmons of Rivals and listed the Seminoles and Tennessee Volunteers as the schools standing out to him.

“Florida State and Tennessee are standing out right now,” Standifer said. “They’re calling me every day. Multiple coaches from those schools reach out, and those relationships are really strong. That’s what makes them stand out a little more. I also like the location of both schools.”

Standifer is ranked as the No. 651 overall player and No. 39 athlete in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 74 player from Georgia.

He had a breakout junior season at Athens Academy, emerging as one of the most dynamic players in Georgia. He finished the year with 61 receptions for 1,608 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also rushed for 259 yards and five scores on 27 carries.
