The Florida State Seminoles were a finalist for 4-star defensive lineman Kendall Guervil when he made his commitment back in July. While that decision didn’t go their way, they are working to flip the Fort Myers, Florida product from the Florida Gators.
He recently spoke with Tyler Harden of Swamp247 about his recruitment and revealed that the Seminoles and the Texas Longhorns are still making contact with him. However, both schools will have their work cut out for them to pry him away from the Gators.
“I’m still 100% committed,” Guervil said. “I still have a great relationship with Coach [Gerald] Chatman, Coach [Jeremy] Patterson, Coach Billy [Napier], of course. They’ve all been supportive of me in this process I’m going through, checking up on me, making sure I’m good.”
Guervil is ranked as the No. 138 overall player and No. 18 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 19 player from Florida.
FSU already has three defensive linemen committed in Earnest Rankings, Tico Crittendon, and Wihtlley Cadeau, but multiple schools are trying to flip Rankins and Crittendon from them. Also, you can never have too much talent or depth along the defensive line.
