The Florida State Seminoles hosted their final Junior Day of the year on Saturday, and new edge target Elijah Cox was in attendance. It was his first time visiting Tallahassee, and it came just two weeks after they extended him a scholarship offer.
While he is currently an unranked prospect, the Seminoles are one of several power programs that are recruiting the Atlanta, Georgia, product. The Ole Miss Rebels, Missouri Tigers, Purdue Boilermakers, and Kentucky Wildcats are also involved with the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder.
It is still early in his recruitment, but FSU appeared to move the needle with Cox during his visit, and he took to social media to share his thoughts and thank head coach Mike Norvell, defensive line coach Terrance Knighton, edge coach Nick Williams, and defensive coordinator Tony White.
“All Glory to God Man I had an Extraordinary time in Tallahassee,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to get back.”
Williams has done a great job on the recruiting trail since joining FSU’s coaching staff this offseason, and has already landed a commitment from four-star edge Anthony Cavallaro. With one commitment in the fold, he now has to work on filling out the class, and Cox will be a target to watch moving forward.
