Three local teams are idle in Week 5 as the halfway mark of the Florida high school football season looms.
Flagler Palm Coast, University and Halifax all get a week off, leaving nine games involving programs from the Volusia Flagler area. DeLand (4-0) at Deltona (2-1) and Seabreeze (1-2) at Matanzas (3-1) are the only games between local squads.
Mainland (2-1) is crossing state lines to play Coffee (GA) after a loss to Spruce Creek (4-0) that came down to the final play last week. The Hawks look to keep their undefeated season by hosting Titusville.
