Florida-Florida State football will be played day after Thanksgiving

The annual Florida-Florida State football game will be played on the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving this year.

Kickoff will be 3:30 p.m. in Tallahassee. The game will be televised by ABC.

The game will mark the first regular-season, Friday contest for the Gators since they played the Seminoles on the day after Thanksgiving in 2022.

Both schools are coming off disappointing 2025 seasons. Florida has a new coach – former Tulane coach Jon Sumrall – and FSU’s Mike Norvell enters the 2026 season clearly on the coaching hot seat.
