Florida baseball moves up in latest national rankings. See where UF ranks

Florida baseball moved up in the national polls this week after the Gators won their series against Oklahoma.

The Gators (31-17, 13-11 SEC) fell to the Sooners 4-3 on Friday, but responded with an 10-5 win on Saturday and a 13-2 run-rule victory on Sunday.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Gators moved from No. 25 to No. 20. Nine other SEC teams were featured in the poll with four included in the top 10.

In the D1baseball.com rankings, Florida went climbed from No. 25 to No. 21, while jumping from No. 17 to No. 13 in the Baseball America’s rankings. In Perfect Game, the Gators also moved from No. 23 to No. 20.

As of May 5, Florida’s rating percentage index (RPI), which is used to judge strength of schedule, stands at No. 14. The Gators are 14-6 when facing top 25 teams, and hold 15 Quadrant 1 victories, which leads the country.
