FHP: Pedestrian hit and killed while walking in center lane of I-75

A woman was fatally struck on Feb. 10 while walking on southbound Interstate 75 in Alachua County, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Southbound Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 374.

The FHP report

According to the report, a 57-year-old Miami man was driving an SUV south in the center lane of I-75 and struck a woman walking in the same lane. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers — a 51-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, both from Miami — were not injured.
