Escambia County approved over new 3,500 homes in 2025. See where.

Escambia County’s Development Review Committee approved over 50 residential development projects throughout 2025 expected to bring over 3,500 new homes, residences and apartments to the county.  

This year’s mark is slightly lower than in 2024, when plans to add over 4,000 new homes were approved by Escambia County.

Here’s which residential development projects got a green light from Escambia County this year.

January

Escambia County approved two residential development projects in January laying the groundwork for 90 new single-family homes.

February

Escambia County approved seven subdivision projects in February expected to add more than 250 new homes to the county.

March

Escambia County approved four residential development projects in March that’re setting up over 500 new homes in the county, including 120 single-family residential lots and nearly 400 multi-family units.

April

Escambia County approved eight residential development projects during April that will add over 100 new homes and almost 500 new apartments to the county.

May

Escambia County approved five residential development projects in May that’ll add 232 homes and 121 apartments to the county overall.

June

Escambia County approved seven residential development projects in June that will collectively add 646 new homes and 120 apartments to the county.

July

Escambia County approved three residential development projects in July that’ll add over 130 homes to the county.

August

Escambia County approved three residential development projects in August that’re laying the groundwork over 130 new homes.

September

Escambia County approved one residential development project during September that will bring some new apartments to Ensley.

October

Escambia County approved 4 residential development projects in October creating 100 new homes in the county, including single-family residences and condos.

November

Escambia County approved three subdivision projects in November that’re bringing more than 200 new homes to the area.

December

Escambia County approved six subdivision projects in December that’re laying the groundwork for over 400 new homes in the county.
