Florida State has a month full of big-time prospects on its summer schedule coming up. That also means it’s time for some camps in Tallahassee, and four-star 2027 quarterback prospect Jameson Purcell announced via his social media that he will be at FSU on June 15.
In addition to Florida State, Purcell will attend several other camps during the month. He’ll also visit the Clemson Tigers (June 3), Notre Dame Fighting Irish (June 6), Florida Gators (June 11), Auburn Tigers (June 13), and Ohio State Buckeyes (June 17).
Purcell is the nation’s No. 293 overall prospect and the No. 20 quarterback according to 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder also ranks as the No. 9 recruit in Illinois.
Going into his junior campaign, Purcell has set the bar pretty high for himself after his performance last season. He completed 70.4% of his passes (197 for 280) for 2,572 yards and 30 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. Purcell gained another 151 yards and put up two scores on the ground.
Purcell is a part of a talented group of quarterbacks that Florida State is recruiting for the 2027 which includes names such as Kharim Hughley, Jayce Johnson, and Trent Seaborn.
