After trailing the entire game, Fudpucker’s pulled off a 16-13 win over The GAB Spot as time ran out in the city of Destin’s Adult Coed Softball League on March 11 at Morgan Sports Center.
GAB Spot stepped out to a 9-0 lead in the first three innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, Fudpucker’s scored four.
In the top of the fifth, GAB Spot picked up two more runs.
Fudpucker’s closed the gap in the bottom of the fifth with six runs.
In the top of the sixth, GAB Spot scored two for a 13-10 lead.
With the 75-minute time limit on the game running out, Fudpucker’s pushed six runs across the plate for the win.
Big hitters for Fudpucker’s were Caleb Love with a double and a single for an RBI; Mya Knight, two singles for three RBIs; and Austin Marple, two singles for an RBI.
Dave Bazylak hit three doubles for two RBIs for GAB Spot. Chris Poole doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs; Kaitlyn Bazylak hit two singles, and Noah Bailey slapped a home run and two doubles for four RBIs.
In other softball action:
Reissue II 27, Emerald Coast Roofscapes 17
Reissue II stepped out to a 12-3 lead in the first two innings.
Roofscapes had a big third inning, scoring eight runs. By the end of four innings, Reissue II led 17-15.
Reissue II finished strong with two runs in the fifth and then eight in the sixth.
The top batter for Reissue II was DJayy Gray with a home run, three doubles and two singles for five RBIs. Jason Little slapped a home run, a triple and three singles for three RBIs, and Ace Acevedo connected for a double and four singles for two RBIs.
Noah Bailey led Roofscapes with a homer and two singles for three RBIs. Chez Barnes hit a triple and two singles for three RBIs.
Beau Esprit Framing 30, Campbell’s Tree Care 18
The first four innings of play were close.
At the end of two, Tree Care led 13-11. By the end of three, the game was deadlocked 17-17.
In the fourth, each team scored a run for an 18-18 game.
In the top of the fifth, Beau Esprit began to pull away with six runs. They picked up another six in the next inning for the win.
Neil Barlow led Beau Esprit with a homer, triple, double and a single for five RBIs. Micah Patton connected for a triple, double and three singles for two RBIs; and Stewart Wilkes doubled and hit three singles for three RBIs. Romon Donofro and Shawn Woods both hit home runs.
Big hitters for Tree Service were Nelson Santiago with a triple and two singles; Steve Rivera with two doubles and a single for two RBIs; and Aubrey Claxton with three singles for an RBI. Dustin Belletty and Matt Campbell both hit home runs.
Reissue I 23, Fudpucker’s 7
Reissue I dominated from the start taking a 15-3 lead in the first two innings. The game was over in four innings.
Anthony Martin led Reissue I with a home run and three singles for five RBIs. Grayson Kemp hit two homers (one inside the park), a double and a single for three RBIs. Michael Haynes hit two home runs and a single for four RBIs, and Juro Martinez hit two singles.
Caleb Love hit a home run and a single for Fud’s. Joey Allen singled, and Mya Knight doubled for two RBIs.

The city of Destin’s Coed Softball League is played twice a week, with games on Monday and Wednesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
