There’s a saying in the NFL that you can never have enough offensive line depth, so it’s never surprising when teams bring in some centers, guards and tackles for workouts, especially during training camp, as teams try to find the most competitive mix that they can.
For the Miami Dolphins, they’re expected to host former Utah guard Michael Mokofisi for a workout on Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.
Mokofisi was a three-star recruit out of Woods Cross High School in Woods Cross, Utah. He committed to the Utes in 2020 and arrived on campus in 2021. Over the last five years, he’s appeared in 50 games and started 46, with 45 starts coming at right guard and one coming at left guard.
At 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, the 22-year-old didn’t allow a single sack of Utah in 13 games last season.
Miami currently has Jamaree Salyer and DJ Campbell competing for depth spots at guard. Mokofisi could be thrown into that mix if his workout goes well.
