Through six weeks of the 2025 college football season, Miami football has lived up to its expectation of a College Football Playoff contender.
The No. 3 Hurricanes have a perfect 5-0 record, which includes three wins against ranked opponents. The biggest win on their resume was a 27-24 victory over then-No. 5 Notre Dame in the season opener on Aug. 31.
The Hurricanes also have wins over No. 23 USF and No. 19 Florida State on their resume, as well as a victory over rival Florida. Through six weeks, the Hurricanes are well-positioned to win their first ACC Championship and earn a berth in the CFP.
Miami returns to action in Week 8 with a home game against Louisville. Here’s what you need to know about the Hurricanes’ remaining schedule:
Does Miami football play today?
No, Miami is on the second of its two bye weeks of the 2025 college football season. For the Hurricanes, this is their second bye in three weeks, as the first one came the weekend of Oct. 11, in between their matchups with rivals Florida and Florida State.
Miami will host Louisville when it returns to the field in Week 8 on Oct. 18. It will mark the sixth straight week that the Hurricanes do not leave the state of Florida.
Miami will play games in seven consecutive weeks to end the season. As of Oct. 4’s rankings, the Hurricanes do not have another ranked opponent left on their schedule.
