Denny's launches 'Sticky Kicks,' sneakers with real syrup. When, where to buy

Denny’s thinks your drip needs shoes that actually drip.

Just in time for National Maple Syrup Day on Dec. 17, America’s Diner is launching Sticky Kicks, $200 limited-edition sneakers made with real Denny’s pancake syrup. The shoes were designed in collaboration with footwear artist and designer Mache.

“Sticky Kicks are impractical, unnecessary, and completely over the top, which is exactly why we love them,” said Ellie Doty, Denny’s senior vice president and chief brand officer, in a Dec. 10 release.

“At Denny’s, syrup isn’t just something we serve. It’s part of who we are. It’s our golden thread. So, it only makes sense we’d be the first to turn it into fashion.”

What are Denny’s Sticky Kicks?

The bright yellow and brown sneakers feature clear, sealed panels containing actual syrup, “making them equal parts diner art and streetwear statement,” the company said in the release.

The shoes include syrup-colored patent leather, tumbled yellow accents, and the iconic Denny’s logo embossed on the heel.

Sticky Kicks will be available in adult men’s sizes 8-13 and retail for $195.

When can I buy Denny’s Sticky Kicks?

The shoes drop on Dec. 17, 2025, at 12 p.m. ET at Denny’s merch store, DinerDrip.com. Supplies will be limited.

Denny’s Rewards members will receive a special code to get in and order an hour earlier, the company said. Anyone interested can sign up at www.dennys.com/rewards.

Other sneaker collabs

Denny’s isn’t the only company trying to get onto your feet.

This month, Nike and Converse launched an exclusive line of sneakers inspired by the Netflix series “Stranger Things” ahead of the premiere of its final season.

Nike and LEGO teamed up in September with a Lego-themed shoe complete with exclusive Lego minifig, and another inspired by “The Lego Movie.”

Denny’s closing stores in Florida

The restaurant chain has been closing underperforming locations with the stated goal of shuttering 150 by the end of the year.

So far, 19 Florida locations have been closed since 2024.

In November Denny’s announced it had entered into a $620 million agreement to be sold to TGI Fridays-owner TriArtisan Capital Advisors, investment firm Treville Capital Group and Yadav Enterprises, which owns and operates about 550 restaurants across the country.
