DAYTONA BEACH — Grants up to $15,000 are available for income-eligible Daytona Beach homeowners affected by Hurricanes Ian and Nicole through the Residential Recovery Assistance Program.
The program is offered through a partnership between Rebuilding Together Greater Florida and the city of Daytona Beach.
The grant, which does not require repayment, can cover repairs such as roofing, HVAC, flooring, drywall, electrical, windows, doors, accessibility upgrades, tree or debris removal and insurance deductible reimbursement.
Application assistance will be available Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11 and 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John H. Dickerson Center, located at 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Daytona Beach. A live information session will also take place Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Dickerson Center.
How to apply for hurricane recovery grants in Daytona Beach
To begin the application process for one of the hurricane recovery grants, contact Rebuilding Together Greater Florida at https://rtgfl.org/get-help/.
The next step will be scheduling a home inspection. Applicants will also need to submit required documents, receive contractor bids, sign the grant agreement and begin repairs.
Required documents include a completed application, identification, proof of income and ownership, a utility bill and a FEMA application if applicable.
