Current Jaguars player named to PFF's 'all-undrafted team' for 2026

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to a three-year contract extension last season, after initially trading for him from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Upon his arrival, he immediately became one of the favorite targets of quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Meyers is now lauded as one of the more steady and reliable wide receivers in the league, and it’s a big jump for someone who was initially not even drafted.

Daire Carragher made an all-undrafted team for Pro Football Focus (PFF) recently, and it’s not much of a surprise to see that Meyers was one of three WRs to make the list.

“Meyers is entering his eighth year in the league and has posted over 800 yards from scrimmage in each of the last six seasons. His midseason trade to the Jaguars last November brought Meyers real quarterback stability for the first time since Tom Brady was throwing him passes,” he wrote.

Meyers signed with the New England Patriots in 2019 as an undrafted free agent, and fought his way onto the active roster. He improved each year and eventually moved on to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023, signing a three-year contract.

By 2025, he wanted out, and requested a trade as he entered the final year of his deal. While the Raiders initially refused, Las Vegas eventually agreed to trade Meyers to Jacksonville in exchange for fourth (No. 117) and sixth round (No. 182) picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Despite having to learn a new offensive scheme and only appearing in nine games, Meyers flourished in Jacksonville. He and Lawrence quickly built strong chemistry together, and Meyers proved to be a reliable target after the Jaguars’ WR room had been struggling with drops all season.

By the end of the season with the Jaguars, Meyers caught 42 passes for 483 yards with three touchdowns. It’s assumed that he will have even better performance in 2026, given that he will be more comfortable in Liam Coen’s scheme, while continuing to elevate the Jaguars’ offense.
