Crestview man dies in crash with pickup truck in Fort Walton Beach

One Crestview man died in a fatal crash reported on Aug. 1 in Fort Walton Beach.

Here’s what we know, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release:

When did the crash happen?

Aug. 1 at 5:56 p.m.

Where did the crash happen?

State Road 189/Green Acres Road.

What vehicles were involved in the crash?

A pickup truck and a sedan.

Who was involved?

The driver of the pickup truck was a 21-year-old woman from Fort Walton Beach. The driver of the sedan was a 65-year-old man from Crestview.

How did the crash happen?

The pickup truck was making a left turn from northbound State Road 189 onto Green Acres Road. The sedan was traveling south on State Road 189. The woman turned into the path of the man driving the sedan. The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
