Want to get into the FHSAA football playoffs? The only way to ensure a spot Classes 7A-1A is to win a district title.
The four district champions in each region automatically advance to the postseason. The other four regional teams are determined by the FHSAA power rankings.
Cardinal Newman was the first team in the state to win their district title, wrapping up the championship with a 47-0 win against rival Benjamin on Sept. 5.
Perennial powers Venice, Osceola, Bolles and Chaminade-Madonna are among the other teams that already have locked up their district championship.
Four district champions won’t be crowned until the final day of the season on Nov. 4, but the rest of the state’s champions will be determined before the end of October.
Here’s a look at the champion or easiest path to a title for each district in the state.
Class 7A
District 1: Creekside is the district champion
District 2: DeLand and Spruce Creek play for the district championship on Nov. 4
District 3: Lake Mary is the district champion
District 4: Boone is the district champion
District 5: West Orange is the district champion
District 6: Ridge Community is the district champion
District 7: Sumner is the district champion
District 8: Venice is the district champion
District 9: Dr. Phillips is the district champion
District 10: St. Cloud is the district champion
