An FWC spokesperson shared details of what happened on Nov. 29 in the video at the top of this page with The News-Press visual journalist Andrew West.

As of this morning, there still remains many unanswered questions including: the names, and ages of the people on the boat, the name of the deceased, the name of the missing person, where the boat’s occupants are from, what were the injuries of those who survived and what was the cause of the boat flipping to leave it upside down in the river.

Officials report that the crash happened less than an hour before sunset at approximately 5 p.m. on Nov. 29.
