Callahan is one of the league’s youngest offensive minds at 40, and most recently served as head coach of the Titans. His reputation around the league was built during his time as offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals. In Cincinnati, Callahan played a major role in developing quarterback Joe Burrow, helping lead an offense that reached the Super Bowl and ranked among the league’s most efficient passing attacks.Callahan does have a sort of coaching connection with the Buccaneers, as current Offensive line coach Kevin Carberry is a “disciple” of his. Callahan also brings experience coaching elite quarterbacks. Prior to his time in Cincinnati, he served as quarterbacks coach with the Denver Broncos, working with Peyton Manning during the latter stages of his Hall of Fame career.
