One of the best in the NFL draft business, Dane Brugler of The Athletic, recently updated his top 100 prospects big board. So let’s break it down by positions from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ perspective.
As we know, the Jaguars are without a first-round pick in this year’s draft. Jacksonville’s first selection will come on Day 2, where GM James Gladstone has four selections in total.
In parentheses are the number of prospects at each position in Brugler’s top 100.
Quarterbacks (3)
Maybe the Jaguars add competition for Carter Bradley, but quarterback is not a priority.
Running back (3)
If Travis Etienne signs elsewhere, depth will be needed at running back, but with Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen, addressing this position with a top 100 pick isn’t necessary.
Wide receiver (17)
This is a very talented position group in this year’s draft. However, under contract for the Jaguars are Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, and Travis Hunter.
Tight end (5)
This is a sneaky need. Bodies are needed here, while Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long are in the final year of their deals.
Offensive tackle (9)
There is no such thing as too much depth, but the Jaguars aren’t losing any of their starters or key depth pieces from the 2025 team. With 11 picks, the Jaguars could add to this position, but it’s not a must early on.
Interior offensive line (9)
What was just said about the offensive tackle position can be applied here.
Edge rusher (15)
Rotational depth behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker is a big need, and the good news is that there is a lot of talent in this year’s draft.
Defensive tackle (9)
One of the biggest needs on the roster. Adding depth and some pass-rush juice are offseason requirements.
Linebacker (11)
The level of need here will be dependent upon whether or not Devin Lloyd returns in free agency.
Cornerback (13)
Montaric Brown and Greg Newsome are both free agents. That’s a lot of starting snaps potentially playing elsewhere in 2026.
Safety (7)
Andrew Wingard is a free agent, but still under contract are Eric Murray, Antonio Johnson, Caleb Ransaw, and Rayuan Lane. How early the Jaguars add to the safety spot could depend on how they view Ransaw and Lane as being the first options off the bench.
