The Big 12 Conference released its 2025-26 basketball scheduling matrices on June 12, including a handful of anticipated home dates for the new-look UCF Knights.
UCF’s men’s basketball team will welcome Elite Eight qualifier Texas Tech and perennial powerhouses Arizona and Kansas to Addition Financial Arena. Cincinnati, one of three opponents the Knights will face both home and away, could easily be the biggest draw of the bunch, however.
The rival Bearcats poached UCF’s starting center, Moustapha Thiam, from the transfer portal in April. The 7-foot-2 Senegalese sophomore followed former Knights assistant coach Mamadou N’Diaye to Cincinnati.
“I wish them well,” UCF head coach Johnny Dawkins said last month at the Big 12 spring meetings in Orlando. “That’s in the past for me and my team. We want to be successful, and we want to continue to try and build a successful roster here at UCF. I wish them well in their future endeavors at their next stop.”
Notable road trips for the Knights include national runner-up Houston, Iowa State and BYU, which signed the consensus top-ranked recruit in the nation for the 2025 cycle, AJ Dybantsa.
UCF will field a brand new men’s basketball roster for the upcoming campaign; all of its scoring production either graduated or departed via the portal. Former Mississippi State guard Riley Kugel, former Arizona State guard BJ Freeman and the ex-Milwaukee duo of Themus Fulks and Jamichael Stillwell are among the team’s new additions.
Here is a full breakdown of UCF’s Big 12 basketball opponents for 2025-26. Dates and times for all games will be announced at a later date.
