A Mitsubishi Outlander was travelling west on Thomas Drive as the bicyclist entered the westbound lane. Despite swerving into the eastbound lane to avoid the man, the Outlander struck him. The swerve caused the Outlander to collide with a Toyota Highlander.

Panama City Beach Fire Rescue and Bay County EMS arrived on scene to provide treatment to the bicyclist. He was taken to Ascension Sacred Heart Bay where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and the passenger of the Outlander were taken to HCA Breakfast Point for minor injuries.

Police said the crash is under investigation and that they don’t suspect alcohol was involved at this time.
