Andrey Martinez
Martinez capped his first year with Bethune-Cookman by becoming a postseason hero. He launched the walk-off home run in the SWAC title game against archrival Florida A&M. After two seasons at St. Petersburg College, he transferred to Daytona Beach and tied the program record with 20 dingers. He was named SWAC Co-Hitter of the Year. At 24 years old, Martinez is a unique draft prospect. But the production is there.
Jean Carlos Zambrano
Zambrano captured the SWAC’s Relief Pitcher of the Year award. He began his college career at Barry University before joining the Wildcats. The 6-foot right-hander tied for the team lead with two saves.
