The store opened at 4 p.m. July 20. It’s at Rutherford High School, 1000 School Ave., Panama City.

The store provides educators with free classroom supplies and resources, helping reduce their out-of-pocket expenses. With the school year just around the corner – the first day of classes is Aug. 10 – the store will help teachers equip themselves and stock their classrooms.

“In previous years, access to the Teacher Resource Store was focused primarily on new teachers and educatorsserving at Title I and C-rated schools,” the release says. “Thanks to increased community investment and several generous grants, the Bay Education Foundation is now able to expand access to teachers across Bay District Schools.”

The expansion was made possible through generous support from:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer all teachers the opportunity to utilize the Teacher ResourceStore this year,” Aimee Bright, executive director of the Bay Education Foundation, said in the release. “Teachers give somuch of their own time, energy and often their own money to create classrooms where students can thrive.Expanding the store means we can support more educators, reach more classrooms and ultimately impactmore students throughout Bay County.”
