Two and a half months after temporarily closing to relocate, Ale Pie House, a popular Jacksonville family-owned restaurant, reopened at its new home, roughly 10 miles south in northern Clay County.
Ale Pie House debuted June 15 at 1580 Wells Road, Suite 7-8, in Wells Crossing Neighborhood Retail Center in Orange Park.
Ale Pie House is known for its made-to-order, handcrafted pizza, especially Chicago stuffed pies, and authentic family recipe pasta, as well as Grandma’s meatballs, stromboli, calzone, wings and homemade Italian-style Garlic Cheese Bread.
The menu also features salads, wraps and subs.
The restaurant relocated from 3951 St. Johns Ave. in Jacksonville’s historic Avondale neighborhood, where it had been a mainstay for a decade.
The family-oriented restaurant went on hiatus at the end of business on March 28 to begin the transition to the Orange Park location.
Owner Mario Kocibelli said the relocation was prompted by the expiration of the restaurant’s lease in Avondale.
The menu, staff, and welcoming hospitality that made Ale Pie House an Avondale favorite will remain the same, he said.
“At Ale Pie House, we believe in the power of time-honored recipes and fresh ingredients. From our rich, comforting Spaghetti with Grandma’s Meatballs to some of the absolute best pizza you will find in Jacksonville, our kitchen crafts every dish with passion and tradition, the restaurant pledges on its website.
Ale Pie House, licensed for up to 149 seats, is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, according to its Facebook page.
