2 Holly Hill residents among 3 people killed in crash on I-95 in Brevard County

A man and a woman, both Holly Hill residents, were among three people killed and another five injured in a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 95 involving a wrong-way driver, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 34-year-old man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala and the 46-year-old woman was his passenger, FHP said

Also killed in the crash was a 34-year-old woman from Cocoa who was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla the wrong way on northbound I-95.

The crash occurred about 3:54 a.m. Sunday, the FHP stated.

The wrong-way driver was traveling southbound in the northbound inside lane of I-95 just south of North Wickham Road about mile marker 190, according to the FHP.

The Toyota crashed into the Chevrolet head-on in the inside lane, the FHP stated.

A 2007 Hyundai Tiburon going north in the inside lane then struck the two cars, causing the Chevrolet to go off the road and hit a guardrail.

A Honda CR-V heading north in the outside lane then struck the Toyota Corolla, causing the Honda to go off the road into the right shoulder.

Then a 2025 Toyota Corolla heading north in the outside lane on 95 struck the Toyota driven by the wrong-way driver, the FHP stated.

A 2013 Volvo XC60 going north in the center lane struck the left fear of the 2025 Toyota.

Then a 2026 Honda Civic in the northbound center lane crashed into Hyundai.

And a 2017 Ford Escape traveling north in the outside lane struck the right front of the Volvo, the FHP stated.

The two Holly Hill residents and the Cocoa resident died at the scene. Neither were wearing seatbelts, according to the FHP.

The rest of the crash victims were wearing seatbelts, FHP reported.

Two Fort Lauderdale residents, the driver, a woman, 22, and her male passenger, also 22, were both injured. The woman suffered minor injuries while the man suffered serious injuries.

A 63-year-old Palm Bay man drove the Honda CR-V and suffered serious injuries.

A 70-year-old Titusville man drove the 2025 Toyota Corolla and suffered minor injuries.

A 46-year-old Rockledge woman drove the Volvo and suffered minor injuries.

A 59-year-old Palm Bay woman drove the Civic and suffered minor injuries.

A 54-year-old Cocoa man drove the Ford and was uninjured, according to the FHP.
