Stetson Bennett’s mobility is a little bit underrated, but he showed off his speed in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Rams’ preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.
From the 1-yard line, the Rams tried a play-action rollout with Bennett, but he couldn’t find anyone open. Rather than throwing the ball away, Bennett used his legs to make a play, scrambling to the far pylon and diving for the end zone.
He was initially ruled short, but after Sean McVay’s challenge, the call was overturned and it was ruled a touchdown. Bennett has looked good as a passer, and he also has the mobility to make plays on the move.
The touchdown put the Rams up 10-0 on the Saints.
