Jared Verse may not be a member of the Los Angeles Rams anymore after being traded to the Cleveland Browns for Myles Garrett, but he still hasn’t left Southern California – or his former teammates – for good yet.
Verse is still training at The Village in Westlake Village, Calif., alongside current and former Rams players. Posts on social media show him working out with Rams defensive lineman Tyler Davis, center Coleman Shelton and former Rams guard Jonah Jackson at The Village, staying close to where he got started in the NFL two years ago.
Cooper Kupp did the same last year after he was cut by the Rams and signed with the Seahawks, continuing to work out with Puka Nacua, Tyler Higbee and others at The Village during the offseason.
Verse admitted he “was upset” after learning that he had been traded by the Rams, taking some time to accept the fact that he would no longer be teammates with Braden Fiske, Byron Young and others. He loved his time in Los Angeles but now takes on a new challenge with the Browns in Cleveland.
Verse attended Browns OTAs and took part in the team’s offseason program but until training camp, it seems he’ll be spending at least part of his summer in Southern California.
