The Golden State Warriors re-signed another player from last year’s roster, agreeing to a one-year, $3.9 million deal with Gary Payton II, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Payton II, the son of former Defensive Player of the Year Award winner Gary Payton, has played parts of six seasons with the Warriors, including the last three and a half years.
In 267 contests with Golden State, Payton II has averaged 6.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, one steal and 0.3 blocks while shooting 58.9% from the field and 33.4% from 3-point range.
With the addition of Payton II, the Warriors have two roster spots remaining.
