The UCLA Bruins had another player enter the transfer portal with junior tight end Jack Pederson trying his luck elsewhere on Wednesday, according to reports by CBS Sports and 247Sports reporters Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.
Pederson stood at six-foot-five-inches in his two-year career with the Bruins and his time at UCLA seemingly has come to an end with 23 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown, according to ESPN. The two CBS reporters cited their sources on the transfer as his agents, David Ben-Zaken and Ian Gutman.
The 247Sports Transfer Portal X account also stated that Pederson started six games for the Bruins.
This news comes after the UCLA Bruins hired Bob Chesney to be the next head coach of the UCLA Bruins and a change is amidst for the program. Pederson joined fellow offensive player, sophomore wide receiver Rico Flores Jr. and five defenders by hitting the portal.
Chesney will undoubtedly have “his guys” that he wants to bring in to rejuvenate the UCLA program as the current Bruins roster looks elsewhere to find success after UCLA’s disastrous 2025 campaign.
