This is the most concerning part of the Rams' 2026 roster, per insider

Injuries have stripped away two of the Los Angeles Rams’ top backup offensive linemen, and The Athletic’s Nate Atkins says it’s an area that draws the most concern for a team that is objectively one of the best rosters on paper.

Justin Dedich, the team’s top interior backup, has yet to suit up this preseason after cutting his hand in early July and landing on the non-football injury list. Third-round rookie Keagen Trost, who was working with the starting offense in camp and was seen as the top backup right tackle, suffered a hamstring injury in the Rams’ preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs that is expected to sideline him for a few weeks — a timeline that could threaten his availability for Week 1. Trost, the No. 93 overall pick out of Missouri, drew praise for his versatility across the line; Pro Football Focus credited him with a 91.7 run-blocking grade in 2025 that ranked first among 632 qualified tackles.

With both sidelined, David Quessenberry is the remaining tackle depth option, according to Atkins. The 35-year-old has 30 career starts across stops with the Texans, Titans, Bills, Vikings and Rams, but his most recent start came in 2023. In his first season in Los Angeles last year, Quessenberry appeared in 13 games but logged just 18 offensive snaps, playing mostly on special teams. The team also signed offensive guard Blake Hance.

On the interior, Beaux Limmer is currently the top backup option behind the starting group, Atkins noted. The 2024 sixth-round pick has appeared in 19 regular-season games with 14 starts and has played all three interior positions at various points, giving the Rams at least one experienced answer if a starter goes down.

But with Dedich’s return date unclear and Trost expected to miss extended time, the Rams’ offensive line depth — a strength under Sean McVay in recent years — looks notably thinner heading into the regular season.
