LSU Tigers head coach Will Wade added another experienced player to his program on Wednesday, with LSU scooping up former UCLA Bruin Skyy Clark out of the transfer portal. It appeared that Clark was out of NCAA eligibility but a Colorado judge granted the Class of 2022 and additional year of eligibility.
Even though Clark was very productive for UCLA in the 2025-2026 season, he’ll depart to join LSU in the SEC after the last-second decision for Clark’s eligibility. Clark has battled for his eligibility, initially trying to get a season back after playing in just 13 games as a freshman with Illinois.
LSU will be Clark’s fourth different college team, having suited up for Illinois, Louisville, UCLA and now the Tigers. Clark is a Los Angeles, California native who will head back east after two seasons playing in his hometown. Now Clark will join a Tigers team that’s looking to make some noise after spending big in the transfer portal.
UCLA will miss Clark’s shooting, as he was extremely efficient from beyond the three-point line at 42.7% on 4.8 attempts from three per game. Clark averaged 9.8 points per game over his 60 games with the Bruins, adding in 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Even though Clark heading to LSU will be a loss for the Bruins, it was an expected one. Clark wasn’t given the additional eligibility until August, giving Mick Cronin and the program to fill out the guard position. The Bruins added Jaylen Petty and Azavier Robinson in the portal this offseason to help replace Clark’s production.
