The Los Angeles Rams bounced back in a big way in Week 14. With their crushing win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Rams proved they belonged in the top echelon of the NFL—and pundits agreed.
The Rams remained in the top-5 of all the expert power rankings we pulled, and some returned or stayed at No. 1, too.
And it makes sense: L.A. has the fourth-best scoring offense and the third-best scoring defense. The Rams’ 10-3 record is tied with the Seattle Seahawks for the best in the NFC, and L.A. owns the head-to-head tiebreaker for now.
The next two games will likely decide where and when the Rams play in the postseason, though. L.A. hosts the Detroit Lions in Week 15 before heading to Seattle for a contest with the Seahawks that should decide the NFC West and possibly the entire conference seeding.
Here’s a roundup of the top power rankings heading into Week 15.
USA Today Sports: No. 1
They’re holding steady at No. 1 − Sunday’s 45-point outburst, a season high, indicative that their Week 13 stumble in Charlotte was a fluke. Matthew Stafford continues to play like the MVP favorite, whether or not he’s actually the league’s best quarterback. He can further burnish his case Sunday if LA is able to stave off Stafford’s former club, the formidable Lions.
ESPN: No. 1
The Rams have scored 100 points in first quarters, which is 14 more than the next closest team, according to ESPN Research. That is a stark difference to the slow starts that plagued the Rams for much of last season, when they scored just 30 points in first quarters over the course of the entire regular season (31st in the NFL). It took them seven games to pass that mark in 2025.
FOX Sports: No. 4
They sure did take out their frustrations on the Cardinals. In the process, they reminded everyone how good they really are.
The Sporting News: No. 2
The Rams took out their frustrations from Carolina by destroying Arizona, this time with Puka Nacua having the most fun to keep lifting Matthew Stafford’s MVP chances. The defense also needed a game where it could tee off and cruise in the second half.
Yahoo Sports: No. 1
The Rams put up 530 yards and 45 points against the Cardinals, which is how a No. 1 team should look. Margin of victory doesn’t matter in the standings but it is a pretty good indicator of which teams have staying power and which are just getting by for now. The Seahawks lead the NFL with a +161 point differential, the Rams are second at +152 and no other team is above +110. The loss at Carolina wasn’t great, but it happens and the Rams are as good as anyone this season. They do have a tricky game vs. Detroit on Sunday, four days before the NFL’s regular-season matchup of the year at Seattle.
The Athletic: No. 1
Father Time and the back problems that complicated Matthew Stafford’s training camp appear to be the only things that can stop this offense. The Rams had 530 yards Sunday, and Stafford became the fourth quarterback to have seven or more games in one season with at least three touchdowns and no interceptions. Since Week 10, Los Angeles leads the league with 34 points per game.
Bleacher Report: No. 3
Weird things happen during an NFL schedule.
For example, the Rams were rolling with a six-game winning streak before being upset by the Carolina Panthers last weekend. That outcome looked more of an aberration than indictment of the Rams.
Los Angeles responded with a dominant victory over the rival Cardinals. Quarterback Matthew Stafford returned to MVP form. The defense held Jacoby Brissett under 300 yards passing for the first time in four weeks.
Any concerns about the Rams were quickly dispelled, because they are the NFC’s best squad.
Sports Illustrated: No. 1
While I don’t hold PFF rankings up as a statistic that should define a career or even an afternoon, seeing that Puka Nacua had the service’s single highest grade ever against the Cardinals on Sunday was worth a second look. And…the tape does not disappoint.
