(This story has been updated with the correct date of the daytime lane closure.)
An ongoing Caltrans pavement rehabilitation project for Los Angeles Avenue, also known as Highway 118, in Moorpark is scheduled for overnight lane closures from March 6 and daytime closures the week of March 9.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane of both northbound and southbound Los Angeles Avenue at Leta Yancy Road and Park Lane from 7 p.m. on Fri., March 6 to 10 a.m. the next morning and Los Angeles Avenue and Tierra Rejada Road and Maureen Lane from 7 p.m. on Sat., March 7 to noon the next day, according to a California Department of Transportation news release.
The right lanes for multiple intersections in both directions of Los Angeles Avenue are scheduled for moving operations during the day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 9 through March 13, between Tierra Rejada and Spring roads, Caltrans officials said.
The agency has advised residents and local businesses that they may experience noise vibrations and dust due to demolition work.
While the road will not have full closures, motorists who would like to avoid Los Angeles Avenue can do so by taking Princeton Avenue into High Street and Poindexter Avenue if driving from the east side of the city or Tierra Rejada Road on the west side of the city.
