New Los Angeles Rams draft pick Max Klare could not be any more excited to be a member of the organization. The second-round selection out of Ohio State loves that the Rams are at the forefront of tight end evolution and is a massive fan of the team’s 13 personnel offense.
“There’s nothing better than 13 personnel. … I’m pumped up to be a part of that,” Klare told reporters after getting drafted, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com.
Klare, a two-time All-Big Ten selection, was an underutilized part of the Buckeyes’ offense in 2025, playing third fiddle to Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith. In 2025, Klare had 46 receptions, 448 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. During his time at Purdue, Klare hauled in 73 catches, 881 receiving yards, and four touchdowns in two years.
As a member of the Rams, his skill set will be used to supplement the efforts of Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, and Terrance Ferguson. When the Rams ran a high usage of 13 personnel, Matthew Stafford played the best football of his career. Klare looks to help keep that trend going.
