The USC Trojans have an immense amount of talent across their roster. There are a handful of players who are flying under the radar and aren’t getting the notice they deserve. One of those players is defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart. Stewart was a freshman All-American this past season, and he enters his sophomore season wanting much more.
In a recent article, Blake Brockermeyer highlights a very underrated player, Jahkeem Stewart, for the USC Trojans. Here is what he said about Stewart:
“Stewart is a disruptive, twitchy defensive lineman who played both inside and off the edge as a young-for-his-age freshman who reclassified up. He has plenty of translatable traits, including an explosive get-off, power at the point of attack and the quickness to create problems on stunts. Stewart finished last season with 7.5 tackles for loss and four hurries. Expect those numbers to increase dramatically in 2026.”
Stewart is a disruptor, and he can wreak havoc for offensive lines in the interior. The Trojans need to get back to stopping the run this season and being more physical. Stewart taking a jump in year 2 could provide that for USC. It helps having a player like Luke Wafle off the edge. Along with Stewart’s playmaking in year 2, he also is a player that can step into a leadership role. Stewart will have responsibility for how the Trojans’ defensive line performs this season, but with last year’s showing, he gave great confidence that he is ready for a big season.
