As part of a nationwide effort to “Clear the Shelters,” Hesperia Animal Services will be waiving all adoption fees for dogs and cats during the month of August.
The Hesperia Animal Shelter will be joining in the campaign Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, representatives said.
While there will be no adoption fees charged for adoptions, a state-mandated $40 spay/neuter deposit still applies for unaltered animals, shelter officials said in a written statement.
“If you have been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, now is the perfect time!” the group added. “Stop by, meet our wonderful adoptable pets, and help us Clear the Shelter!”
The Hesperia Animal Shelter, 11011 Santa Fe Avenue East, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Adoptable pets, as well as found strays, can be viewed online at hesperiaca.gov/683/View-Animals-in-the-Shelter.
More information on the Clear the Shelters campaign is available on the organization’s website at cleartheshelters.com.
