The Philadelphia Eagles have witnessed a lot of changes in their offense. The offseason was headlined by divorcing star receiver A.J. Brown. Losing a player like that would often be catastrophic. The buzz right now is that new faces in the building, offensive coordinator Sean Mannion and rookie receiver Makai Lemon, could solve that problem.
In a recent tweet, Ari Meirov reveals the recent buzz around new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Here is what he said:
“#Eagles LT Jordan Mailata says new OC Sean Mannion is an “evil genius.”
“Mailata said that while learning the scheme, Mannion walks the offense through how the defense is expected to react. It makes you realize there’s a purpose behind every detail in a play.”
Sean Mannion has all the traits to be that next great young developing offensive mind. The Eagles’ offense last season, at times, was predictable and lacked creativity. Mannion is looking to kill that notion. A player such as Makai Lemon could very well be at the center of turning this Eagles offense around. It could be very similar to how Amon-Ra St. Brown is a big focal point in the Detroit Lions offense; that could be Lemon’s impact potentially in this new offense.
